How to communicate through updates?

What is the purpose of updates?

Updates allows you to communicate about your project, to keep it alive by informing contributors/participants of news about your project!

To whom is it sent?

  • It is automatically sent to all contributors and participants of your project by email.
    It is also generated in the notification bell at the top right of your screen (as below) to all users of the platform.

How to post an update on your project?

  • Visit your project home page

Click on the "Updates" tab

  • ​Click on the "Create new update" button

  • Write the content
    A toolbar at the top of the writing space is available to integrate other elements (photos, videos, hyperlink ect) and to page your text (italics, bold, typography ect)

  • Click on "Publish"

Is it possible to modify an update once posted?

  • You can modify an update by clicking on "Edit" :

Can I delete an update?


  • You can cancel a news by clicking on "Delete" as above, this one will disappear from the updates afterwards.

What are the common uses for publishing an update?

  • In case your project lacks funds.

  • If you have information to send, for example about the organization of your project or a change that would have been made between the time of publication and implementation.

  • To advise of the implementation date, which was not set beforehand.

  • To thank contributors for their funding or participants for their personal investment.

  • To publish the result of the project, by clicking on the dedicated tick.
